(trans)formed

(trans)formed . . . a “being” term which communicates ongoing, continuous shaping. Phil. 1:6: For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will (continue to) perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
We are all at different places in the journey of being disciples of Christ and becoming more like Him. For that reason, (trans)formed—our new discipleship ministry—will include two different tracks for people at two different places in their spiritual development: Discipleship and Apprenticeship.

DISCIPLESHIP . . . In the Discipleship pathway you will begin by learning to commune with God in prayer and meditation, digging deeper in Bible study, and learning how to share your faith with others. Then you will grow in understanding what God’s will is, what maturity is, and what it means to “walk with Jesus.” But you are not just going to learn facts about God—He is going to become your best friend! You will truly experience what it means to live out this life of Christ living in you.

APPRENTICESHIP . . . In the Apprenticeship pathway you will first be overwhelmed with the goodness of the character of God. Your knowledge of this personal great God will grow and grow. Then you will continue to take on His character as you put off your “old self” and put on the goodness and love and kindness of Christ. You will live out the character of Jesus in community as you learn to love and serve and bring out God’s character in others.

(trans)formed is a ten month commitment with both tracks meeting about 3 Tuesday evenings per month from 7–9 pm starting September 11 (see calendar below for exact dates). The cost is $50 per person, which includes the workbooks.
